Numbers with time expressions Cardinal numbers (one, two etc) are sometimes used with general time words such as 'month' and 'week': She's already had at least nine months' experience. She was given two weeks' notice. Sometimes the apostrophe is omitted: They wanted three weeks holiday and three weeks pay. 'a' and 'one' She's on a year's leave from Hunter College.
