O caso possessivo







Estude aqui, segundo a gramática inglesa, o caso possessivo do inglês:

Para falarmos que alguém possui algo colocamos 's depois do possuidor:

This is Alan's wife - Esta é a esposa do Alan.


Se o nome do possuidor terminar em 's' podemos acrescentar um outro 's' ou somente o apóstrofo:

This is Charles's wife - This is Charles' wife.


Quando uma coisa pertence a duas ou mais pessoas colocamos o 's depois do último nome:

This is Alan and Maidê's house.


Quando diferentes coisas pertencem a pessoas diferentes colocamos o 's depois de cada possuidor:

These are Celso's and Lenita's cars - Estes são os carros de Celso e Lenita.
